🏔ī¸Rocky Worlds

Only a rock you say? Well that rock hold the key to my fortune.

Rocky Worlds have vast stony surfaces marred with the scars of ancient meteorite impacts. These planets are diverse and treacherous, from the depths of enormous craters to the heights of titan mountain ranges.

Over hundreds of millions of years, mineral-eating microbes have transformed the landscape, creating enormous deserts of rock dust and tunnels within the crust that form subterranean caverns - now perfect habitats for life. Systems of world-cracking ravines created by primordial tectonic activity run deep into the crust and connect to subterranean oceans, forming life-rich environments just below the barren surface.

These ravines are dozens of kilometers deep, spanning thousands of kilometers across the crust, which nurture sublime vertical forests that capture the condensation of liquids against the walls. Thicker atmospheres can settle in these ravines and caves, forming isolated climates capable of varied ecosystems with beautiful and dangerous creatures.

These waterless marvels with slow rotation are usually subject to harsh weather conditions with a little atmosphere on the surface. Usually poxed and cratered by the constant bombardment of minor asteroids, the surface creates a varied landscape of ever-present shapes and figures. The planet's surface also features deep fissures extending for miles and cave systems extending for miles.

These underground maze-like systems make a warm home for all manner of creatures. Usually, these mesmerizing life forms have adapted to living in the dark and surviving the bleakest conditions. The local life has created wondrous crystalline caverns and pockets in the stone that have allowed small pools of water liquid to accumulate. The materials on these planets are precious, putting them in high demand and making the planet itself attractive to potential buyers.
