🏝️Island Worlds

It would be paradise, if the entire world wasn't trying to kill you.

Island worlds are covered in beautifully shallow waters and dispersed landmasses, ranging from tropical archipelagos to mountainous island chains. Vibrant - and sometimes glowing - coral reefs stretch over multiple horizons, displaying wildly rich colors from diverse marine biomes.

Periodically, giant sinkholes form into deep underwater caverns, beautiful portals into deep-water environments full of mystery. Above sea level, large islands provide an immense variety of fertile landscapes, such as grasslands and forests, as well as hostile environments, such as deserts and icy plains. Many of these islands have extremely shallow shores that extend for kilometers, the water mirroring the skies as far as the eyes can see. Island worlds are full of incredible sights across the spectrum, incorporating many features in other worlds.

These planets are composed of both water and a prominent element. The liquid element, always being the prominent element that composes the planet, is adorned by large bodies of sand and stone. The combination makes for varied lifeforms with amphibian creatures walking on land and sea. Each island is a lush paradise of life and beauty.

Worlds made up of both elements create the perfect scenario for cultures and empires to grow. These worlds see life bloom, and while not all make it through the Fermi Paradox, those that do soon become part of the galaxy and the space-faring civilization. Its primary resource is the individuals it produces for its intelligence and resourcefulness.
